5 beauty uses for baking soda

1. Deodorant

Mix a ¼ cup of baking soda, a ¼ cup of corn starch and 5 tablespoons of coconut oil in a bowl. Store in a jar or transfer the mixture into an empty deodorant container. This is great for preventing body odour and sweat stains.

2. Cuticle care

Make a paste out of some baking soda and warm water. Rub this paste on your cuticles to give them some TLC.

3. Blackheads

A teaspoon of baking soda mixed with a cup of distilled water (or water that has been boiled then cooled), helps draw out blackheads and makes the extractions come out very easily.

4. Clarifying shampoo

To remove product build-up in your hair, add a small amount of baking soda to your shampoo and use as usual.

5. Exfoliant

Once a week, mix a little baking soda with water in your hands and scrub it all over your face to remove dead skin cells.
